  • Grateful that I Tried!

Posted by selinaelliot on January 29, 2023

Is everything that is broken, trash? Whether success is in the future, or if it's failure to come, I'm glad that I tried.

It's important to try something new. And I am not disappointed! Even if you're sure that you don't have the talent, just try. Selina

  • Your Blessing

Posted by selinaelliot on January 11, 2023

Your blessing is always there, God. At times, I forget that. But you’re always here with me. When I cry, when I feel lost, when I feel worthless. Most importantly to this heart, you’re here …

  • Soulful Sundays – What I’ll Never Have

    Posted by selinaelliot on January 8, 2023January 8, 2023

The artwork is a new sketch in progress. The plan for it is uncertain. But this feeling inside was insistent. Looking upon it, the feeling became clear. These words and the tears came out. Selina

  • Without Apology – Revisited

Posted by selinaelliot on January 3, 2023

With the New Year here, and the next series coming soon, I wanted to take a moment to revisit my favorite couple; Dasai and Kuro. If you haven't had a chance to read Without Apology, now is the perfect time to do that! The next series is a spinoff, so expect a fun cameo somewhere along the journey.

  • Tears and Fears of a First Date

Posted by selinaelliot on December 24, 2022

Writing should never stay the same. It's meant to push the writer as much as the reader. So if I'm scared, it just means I'm growing. Challenging myself to write in a voice I haven't attempted for a long time, if ever, I decide one challenge isn't enough this time. Though fictional, this piece has a lot of my personal experience within. It terrifies me to share so much of myself. But growth can only happen if we're willing to push outside our comfort zones. I'm not ashamed of who I am, and I don't have to care if she doesn't want to take the time know me. Selina
