Soulful Sundays – help, I’m an imposter!

Help, I’m an imposter!

Speared by Memo Fest (an absolutely brilliant creative festival), I made the choice to embrace my creative side and drive it forward. This means, doing things outside my bubble of safety. I met one of the masterminds behind the festival while there. We exchanged numbers and she let me know I could reach out. And I did. And it was scary. And now all I can think is that she knows I’m an imposter.

I’m posing as an artist but I’m just me. We met up for brunch and spent something like an hour and a half or more just talking and sharing. I haven’t talked about myself like that in so long. So, now all I can think is that I talked too much. Was I boring? Arrogant? Awkward? Am I even likeable? Is there any value to me?

Oh guys, I don’t know how to turn this off (the anxiety). I want to be an artist. I want a career as one. What that looks like is a mystery. It feels like I keep mis-stepping. What if this was the shot and I missed?
Rarely is it ever as tragic as it feels in the moment, but can someone tell that to my anxiety?

Enough of giving my anxiety the mic.
Here’s an image I’ve been working on. I created this – I have to keep reminding myself that I’m not an imposter. I’m just not a pro at this life thing we’re all navigating together. But I am an artist.

My images are not AI generated. These are done by hand. No stamps, no cheats, no AI. Just hard work while letting my creative side come out to play.
