Soulful Sundays – take a peek

This past week, I’ve been working on something that I’ve been meaning to get done for a while. It came at the cost of preparing artwork for Sunday’s post. Not that I mind. Truly it’s okay because I’ve been wanting to complete this project for a long while.
The hesitation always comes towards the end when things are coming together and becoming real. Starting a new story is easy. There are tons of storylines floating around this brain. When it comes times to complete the story is when I suddenly have inspiration to begin the next project.

Some people title it procrastination. And I don’t know, maybe they’re right. But then maybe it’s a fear of judgment or failure. Long ago, I stopped sharing the things that ignite my passions. Even with those I trust enough to let this fire be seen, I hedge the excitement. It’s why I began writing here (a thought for another blog).

I feel safe within my space here, and I feel accountable. It’s written down, so I must see it through even if it takes time to get there. But that time taken is a good thing because I’m learning and growing. It’s showing in my writing and in my art.

Then he’d met someone who saw past that anger with a cocky grin. From there, the door began to open again to let these people in.

“The pack has plenty of room to grow,” Kni’Qa had said this before.

“I’m not you,” he reminded sullenly.

“Yah, you’re ugly, not nearly as smart, and your money is all you got going for you,” Kni’Qa joked. But then he pointed out something important, “but the only time Sasha’s eyes come up off the floor is when you walk in.”
