Soulful Sundays – sympathetic hug

Did you ever look upon the work you’ve accomplished and think, “well, I suck!”

Unfortunately, it’s one of those weekends for me. I’m telling you this not because I want sympathy. I mean, I’m not saying no to a sympathetic hug. But no this is not a pity party. It’s about being real so that we can be real together.

This weekend I’ve cleaned, packed some, reached out to the realtor, reached out to a production company, tried to create an artistic piece to share, and tried to write a blog post. The last two suck, and the others don’t feel like enough.

Stress is not a very good friend. Here’s a hug for you and a reminder to not be so hard on yourself. You’re doing better than you know. For my reward, I think I’ll start Love Sea the series again this evening.

  1. Yeah, lotsa stuff I’d meant to do this week, but I came nowhere near completing the list, if there even was one. Oh, well — time to focus on the things I actually did get done, like my job (I’m in Australia for work at the moment!). MidnightOilDiary stuff will have to wait a little longer.

Are you moving house or something, Selina?

Firstly, my deepest apologies for the delayed response. I didn’t realize the app on my phone needed an update and I missed your comment.

Secondly, Australia?! Wow!! May I inquire what you’re doing? How are you liking it there?

Your choice to view the things you’ve accomplished over dwelling on what wasn’t is so brilliant! I just gave myself this very pep talk this morning. And I do feel much better for it!

To answer your question, yes, my sister and I are selling our house and downsizing. Hopefully getting a few of the luxuries on our wish list. We don’t need much space, but we deserve AC and I really want a deep tub to relax in.

Have a great weekend my friend!
