Soulful Sundays – reframed

Challenged to reframe a previous work, I wanted to take the art which challenged me the most and make it harder. I’m pleased with the result!

A little backstory, for those with curiosity. In one of our first art classes we were challenged to come up with a repeating design. That was essentially the parameters. We were constantly challenged in this way, and it really does push you to think outside your comfort zone. Anyhow, the repeating design was the first piece we had to share in class. Absolutely terrifying!
Later, in one of the last classes we would have, we were challenged to revisit this design and reframe it. That could mean adding to the piece with a second piece. Or with me, I decided to bring back the design and change it adding in the bubbles which move outside the frame. Then, after printing on clear paper, I put the image on my window. The full image of that is found in my gallery page (“Art by Selina”). Please go over and check it out. The reason I did that is because my room is my safe zone to watch the world from, while the piece reminds me to move outside my safe boundaries and share my art with everyone.
I hope that you enjoy this piece as much as I do.
Selina
