Soulful Sundays – tomorrow’s empty promise

There’s a story for everyone, and everyone has a story.

Somehow, we got to this point. Mired in mud where the only options are to either succumb to its cold grip, or to keep fighting the same desperate battle that brought us here. Desperately alone. Awash in tears. Tomorrow’s promise has become empty.

  1. I really like the way you handled the water and the reflection in this drawing. I could imagine an art appreciation student commenting on how the lower half of the drawing is the only one that uses color, and what that symbolizes.

But keep fighting. I was listening to the Beatles Channel on the radio whilst driving around this afternoon. When the announcer introduced a particular George Harrison song, she explained how the lyrics say that while good times are transitory, so are bad ones. The song was “All Things Must Pass,” which you can find here:

There’re are so many thank you’s I want to give to you. THANK YOU! For the comments about the colour. It is very symbolic to me. And I’m very proud of this one, though I feel bad for being proud. But I’m proud!!
And for the song, lyrics, and link; I’m reminding myself that these tears are temporary. All things must pass, and that is both good and sad news. But we can’t choose to have only the good. The sad soften our hearts to each other, if we hang on.
Thank you for being a wonderful person! Cheers to you, my friend!
