Perhaps it’s neurotic but leaving the originals of my art with a stranger produces a high volume of stress!
The background to that was me on the hunt for someone who can help make prints of my artwork so that I can sell it. There was a lot of time and effort…sorry, a lot of time and effort put into garnering this skill. It hasn’t come easy and I’ve had to sacrifice. So, when it became clear that I would have to turn over my original works to a stranger for several days, the flippant shrug and sure of the employee didn’t instill even the smallest fraction of confidence. I left some of my work in their care however.
And an hour later came back because the anxiety was beginning to have its own gravitational pull! Cancelled the order, waived the refund, and internalized the meltdown over seeing a clip used to hold my work together. A CLIP! What are we doing, making copies of the office newsletter?! For crying out loud!
My originals are back in their portfolio under the magical forcefield of translucent film. And I still need to figure out how to get quality prints. I don’t even know how to process all this. I’m just sharing it here. Feel free to guide the lesson here within the comments.

Do you have a scanner large enough to accommodate your artwork? I thought there were firms that could produce quality prints based on an electronic copy.

Sadly, I do not. And the ones that do fit, come out with poor quality.
But I found a few local places that might be able to help. I’ve reached out to them and will hopefully hear back from them all this week. Fingers crossed!
