Recently, someone with an identical heart sent a version of this to me because she knew it would resonate. It sure does!
This soul struggles on the daily just to navigate small talk. So, trying to confess to someone how I feel…When you see yourself as a burden, it becomes nearly impossible to believe that others won’t also see you as one. How can I ask anyone to shoulder the weight of my affections? Even if they somehow like me too, won’t they be ridiculed by others? It’s happened. I am unpretty and unworthy. Not someone you brag to others about, but rather something you keep in the closet.

Today, I carry neither the courage nor the answers to resolve the above. But I’ll keep working at it. And maybe one day, the love I pour out into the world will find its way back to me.
