It certainly took some time getting here, and the struggle became challenging at times. But here we finally are!

synopsis: Having the family he was born into broken apart by circumstance and ego, Ty wouldn’t let anyone else he called family be taken from him.
Definitely Not Disappointed is a struggle of family finding their way. Seen through the eyes of each member, perspective becomes individualized. But for them, those they call family will always come first.

In the next few weeks I’m going to introduce you to the characters of Definitely not Disappointed. The original artwork, slightly hidden behind the purple filter, will be revealed when the story goes live on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

author’s notes: it’s been a struggle learning to draw and sketch. Shading is its own beast. Perspective and movement, a monster. And more than just loving the challenge, I am a little proud of what I’ve been able do here! I hope that you’ll enjoy the artwork as well as the story.
It all began with Sam and Ty when I decided to write Definitely not Disappointed. We all come from something, and sometimes that something can be bad. It can be something we spend our lives running from or fighting against. Their story was inspired by this fear. The evolution of the supporting characters into main characters happened when I saw just how much of an impact they had upon the story. Suddenly, it was important that they too had a voice.
